Margot Jones Margot Jones, Owner
Margot Jones established the Purple Onion Catering Co. in 1990, from a true love of cooking and a commitment toward making the special events in people's lives unforgettable. Infusing her own standards of quality, imagination and commitment to perfection, Margot's leadership has allowed
the Purple Onion Catering Co. to flourish through the years. Also realizing the importance of professional development, Margot is an active member of the International Caterers Association.

David Jones David Jones, Owner
Dave has been with the Purple Onion Catering Company since the begining. With over thirty years of corporate and association experience, Dave manages all operational aspects that make the Purple Onion Catering Co. run smoothly. Dave received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from George Mason University.

  Adam L. Gooch, Executive Chef
Chef Adam L. Gooch joined the Purple Onion Catering Company in the spring of 2011. He graduated from the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, PA. At 25, Chef Adam was a nominee for the Chef of the Year Award and was running seven different restaurants. Since then, he has won numerous awards and accolades for his food and culinary inventiveness. Continuing to expand his knowledge Chef Adam studied in France at la Cordon Blue and Le Ritz Escoffier and at the Culinary Institute of America. He is a member of the International Caterers Association, has served as a Board Member for the American Culinary Federation, and was cited as being one of the area’s best new chefs. The love and passion Chef Adam has for the industry definitely reflects in his food.
     

     
Joanie Rylander

Joanie Rylander, Event Sales
Joanie Rylander joined Purple Onion Catering Co. in October of 2009. Earning her Business Marketing degree in 2002, she began her career as a meeting planner in Washington, DC. After 6 years as a meeting planner she realized her true passion for special events and made the transition to off-premise catering. She has a flair for creating personalized menus and an atmosphere for in which people can savor their experiences without worries or distractions. Joanie’s passion, enthusiasm, creativity and dedication to detail will ensure that your events have a lasting impression on your guests.

Monica Hufnagel

Monica Hufnagel, Inside Sales
Monica Hufnagel joined Purple Onion Catering Co. in 1993. Equipped with over 23 years in the food service industry, Monica has been a tremendous asset to the team as well as to the client. Taking an active role in the planning process, Monica guarantees the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.Her strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and patience will be sure to make your event unforgettable.
